As I walked the floor of the 2010 Winter Outdoor Retailers show last month, I was thrilled about a few items that are coming this fall. The following are a few of the products that we can expect to see in the coming year.This is just a sneak peak mind you, but as I get a chance to try these items personally,  I will post more in-depth reviews. I will focus on one Company at a time for the next several days.

Columbia Sportswear Company

Columbia really knows how to treat a woman right! They heard all of us “It- Girls” saying, “Give me something that will keep me warm and make me look good, something I can work in, play in, live in!” They were right on with the Omni-Heat and In2Out collections.  And if these lines turn out to be as good as they promise to be, boy did they nail it!

Here are a few of the items that caught my eye:

High Tail Honey™ Dress is tailored to be functional and stylish. You can ride your bike and go straight to dinner with this darling dress.

Winter Transit™ Tall Boots are sassy and sexy! Can’t you imagine yourself cruising around with these fab boots on?

Layer First™ Cami. Finally a high tech cami! This will look great, keep you dry and feel wonderful. It is about time! Thank you Columbia!

Staying Warm Everywhere

This is very hot tech, not the kind you get at Best Buy, but still tech. I have not tried the Omni-Heat yet but I am very optimistic! My little heart leaps at the thought of being able to stay warm without looking and feeling like an over-stuffed toad.

How It Works

body warmth while dissipating moisture heat.

at the push of a button by activating a patent-pending, battery-powered
array of heating elements located strategically throughout the footbed in
select Columbia winter boot styles.

KALEIDASLOPE™ JACKET. This is a real gem! It is so feminine and stylish. You can wear this on your bike and also wear it out to dinner.

I am loving these boots. They look really great plus you will have warm tootsies with a combo of Omni-Heat™ Thermal Electric heating,Omni-Heat™ Thermal Reflective lining, Waterproof full-grain leather upper. 200g Thinsulate™ underfoot insulation and Techlite™ molded midsole, Omni-Grip™ outsole.  Seriously, how can your feet ever be cold?

My Preliminary Opinion

There is a lot to look forward to from Columbia. I really appreciate the effort they have made to accomodate women who are active and still like to look stylish. As promised, there will be more to come as I try these products. My thoughts so far? Lookin’ good Columbia!
