Facing the Fall Weather: Tips to keep your Face Fresh for the Season

Annie keeps her skin looking great for the fall weather

Along with the multiple beauties of fall comes dry, chapped skin, and hair. It is an annual battle but we will survive, won’t we, Women!
To do this, we are going to stock up on protectants for this season. Try buying a couple of lip balms, sun blocks, and SPF hand creams and place them strategically to ensure their use, perhaps with your means of transportation and always in that bag that seems to be attached to you.
With the change of season it is not a bad idea to change up your skin care regimen by adding more moisture. Even oily skin needs to be hydrated, just make sure you give it a weekly ritual of exfoliation. Both dry and oily skin can use a tablespoon of sugar mixed with your favorite facial cleanser. Gently massage onto your face using circular, upward motions (also mixes well with bodywash). This will help slough off dead skin cells on the surface and help expose fresh ones. Fresh cells absorb, dead ones just keep on building. The skin on our body absorbs, as does our hair.
Start this season by adding one to two tablespoons of coconut oil to your damp, cleansed hair weekly and let your hair bathe in it for at least 15 minutes. Our poor tresses get a good beating from the cold wind and pollutants that rummage through it.
So for all my Ladies out there, especially those of us who are not protected by a windshield, but rather reaping nature’s rewards, let’s get a head start so we don’t find ourselves a little too chapped.

Claire has peaches and cream skin even in the dry fall weather.
